I am pleased to announce the release of GNU Moe 0.5.

This is a stable release. The version number is 0.5 only because I want
to add a couple more features before jumping to 1.0.

GNU Moe is a powerful, 8-bit clean, text editor for ISO-8859 and ASCII
character encodings. It has a modeless, user-friendly interface, online
help, multiple windows, unlimited undo/redo capability, unlimited line
length, global search/replace, block operations, automatic indentation,
word wrapping, filename completion, directory browser, duplicate removal
from prompt histories, delimiter matching, etc.

The sources can be dowloaded from http://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/moe/ or from

GNU AutoGen/AutoOpts is a two-part project that serves two separate
purposes and are inextricably intertwined:

AutoGen is a tool designed to simplify the creation and maintenance of
programs that contain large amounts of repetitious text. It is especially
valuable in programs that have several blocks of text that must be kept
synchronized.

AutoOpts is both an example of that and a project in its own right.
It is a very powerful command line option parser consisting of a
set of AutoGen templates and a run time library that nearly eliminates
the hassle of managing, parsing and documenting program options.

New in 5.7.3 - October, 2005

* Definition and license text files were mmap-ed in without checking for
the size being a multiple of a page. strlen() would seg fault.
* disable autoopts/test/getopt.test unless autoopts has been fully installed.
(It requires getopt.tpl which requires a fully installed environment.)
* several other usability improvements to the tear off library.
